My first book for younger readers was published in the UK in 1966 — The Timpitters’ Mine by Victory Press (now Kingsway Publications), a boys’ adventure set in a Derbyshire lead mine.
The Timpitters’ Mine was the first of seven adventure stories with Victory Press, many of which were bought as Sunday school prizes. Then followed a photography book with Pan and another photography book with Penguin.
In the 1980s I rewrote seven Christian Classics for young readers. More recently I have completed five modern thrillers , but now I’m going back to my roots, and Young Pilgrim’s Progress, and Pilgrim’s Progress Puzzle Book are just the first of what I hope will be a series of books for young readers.
I am married, with three grown up children — Jonathan, Simon and Emma — and I live in the English West Country. I would like to hear from my readers, both new and old, so if you want to send me an email just click here:

Here are many of my books that have been published over the years -
