This part of the Rocky Island shows a selection of books for young readers by author Chris Wright from White Tree Publishing. These books are great for reading on your own, and for family to read together. And in Sunday school a few pages a week will make sure everyone comes back to hear the next instalment!

The stories all owe something to classic stories that enthralled readers many years ago, and they have been carefully updated to retain the old fashioned feeling, combined with today’s wording.

The Pilgrim’s Progress Adventure Book and the true story of Mary Jones contain puzzles as well as the story. But you don’t have to do the puzzles to enjoy reading the books.

When I was young, my father used to read me some fantastic stories every Sunday teatime. To help make the stories easier to understand he would change the wording and some of the incidents as he read. Well, I’ve done the same here, making the stories both accessible and memorable for today’s readers. Enjoy!
